I have been searching for new fun ways to get exercise. I also admit I am a kid stuck in an adult body. A quick trip through the toy store and I am a happy girl! Growing up, I LOVED my hula hoop. White and pink striped, it smelled of peppermint, but quickly started smelling like dirt the more it landed on the ground.

I really have no recollection of how I ran across this company. But somehow I found Hoopnotica an awesome hoopdancing company who designs the most beautiful exercise hula hoops and instructional videos!

I counted my pennies and found I had just enough to buy a travel hoop (it breaks down into pieces for easier transport) and the beginner video. It just arrived in the mail and it is oh sooo much fun! The hoop is slightly weighted compared to the kind you find in the toy store. A stripe of thin pink padding and a stripe of gold metallic. Oh so pretty! Super easy to put together and take apart for travel or storage. I have not watched the video yet, but just twirling around with that hoop brought back some seriously good memories. I couldn’t help but giggle at poor little Brodie (my puppy). He hid behind the sofa afraid that the UFO looking thingy would fly off of mom’s hips. Good thing though, he knows how accident prone I have been recently!
