Pretty pretty!

Searching high and low on the net, it was very hard to find a medical id bracelet that really fit my personality. I finally found Lauren’s Hope and found something that fit my taste. I am fairly plain, but fairly girly, and wanted something kind of classic looking but not too attention grabbing and didn’t scream MEDICAL ALERT to everyone who would glance my direction. Several years ago I made about a dozen different beaded bracelets to go on my id plate, but this time I wanted something shiny and silver. :)

The bracelets at Lauren’s Hope are beautiful but quite expensive. I figured out it would cost a ton of money for me to make a similar silver bracelet because I would have to buy the chain in bulk, and with my tiny tiny wrists (all of 6″ around) I never would need 5 feet of chain. Just not cost effective.

I had a lovely surprise a few weeks ago when my sweetheart surprised me with the bracelet I had my eye on. hehehe

On the back is engraved my full name, “Cystic Fibrosis CFRD, Diabetes – Insulin, Allergy: PCN, Bactrim” and my doctor’s pager number. I wish there was just one more line so I could squeeze in my severe food allergies, but well, I think we used up every single space allowed to be engraved! LOL

I am very impressed with the quality of my Lauren’s Hope bracelet. I did need to add a little ring on one side of the plate because it is almost impossible to get the little lobster claw around the plate by yourself unless you are super talented. I would definitely recommend these bracelets to others. The price is high, but I’ll tell you a secret, if you sign up for their email news letter, sometimes they send out discount coupons! hehe shhhhh!
