Thanks Louise,
Looks like you found one of my old posts! :) I actually received and started using my CGM in June of 2008. I actually offered Kerri advice on her CGM appeal (who knows if she took it or not). For everyone else who happens upon this post, I highly recommend Kerri's blog, the one that Louise referenced. Kerri is an awesome, funny and interesting writer over at SixUntilMe (make sure you spell it right, or you will end up somewhere you really wish you never been!). Kerry is a Type 1, who also is a part of dlife (another great website).
Check them both out!
And thanks for the info Louise!
Hugs to all!

You might already be familiar with Kerri Morrone's blog, Six Until Me. She's written a lot about her fight with her health insurance company for a continuous glucose monitor. You might want to contact her and see if she can give you any tips. Here's a link to one of the posts she wrote about the CGM:

Hi Aspen. I found you through mybloglog. I guess you have visited my site at one time. My blog perhaps? Or at least my mybloglog profile. Wow. I have diabetes, but nothing like your problem. I hope you raise the money you need. My husband went through a lot of hardships. He had two cancers and a stem cell (bone marrow) transplant. He had a couple of years of complications but is doing downright well now! People were generous to him online for what he needed, mostly for things for the hospital more than money. But they were very very generous. I will pray that you get the money you need for pump. God bless, Krissy :)

Aspen,

I am Dean Taylor's wife; I know that he has been in contact with you and we donated to your pump fund. I would suggest contacting the CF Foundation legal department, which is run by Beth Sulfian, an attorney with CF. She can give you some advice/assistance in this area. Her email address is bethsulfian@aol.com. You can get the legal department's phone number off the www.cff.org website.
