looking for other people’s weight loss stories. I’ve actually just started blogging about
my weight loss success story – I lost over 30 pounds in a month
    with a diet I developed!

I would really appreciate it if you could visit my weight loss blogand tell me what you think.
    Warmest wishes,

  4. I really enjoyed the article you were featured in. I have had type 1 diabetes for over 28 years and it’s good to see someone so dedicated t otheir health. You are an inspiration to those of us that don’t see a positive future to having diabetes.

  6. I saw the article in Diabetes Forecast, and I was really interested. I have COPD (emphysema and chronic bronchitis) and type 2 diabetes, so we’re fighting the same sort of battle, though I have to admit, if we got into some sort of contest, I’d bow to you any day! For one thing, I’m 64, and I’ve really only been actively involved in managing these two conditions since 2003; you’ve been dealing with the CF for a very long time and with both for longer than I have. I can’t imagine the difficulties of managing a 5,000 calorie diet that’s balanced!

I know how exciting it is to be featured in a national publication. Almost a year ago today (on November 29, 2007 to be exact) I was featured in a New York Times article with an accompanying video. It was truly one of the most exciting things that’s ever happened to me, so bask in your glory, and rest assured that you have undoubtedly reached a lot of people who will be influenced by your story.

I was really surprised at your blog about your problems with Apria in Denver. When I was on O2 24/7 (before I went on a whale of a diet and exercise program and lost 100 pounds) back in 2003, I got the small tanks here in rural Iowa with no problem at all. I do have friends in the Denver area who are on long term O2 therapy and I could certainly put you in touch with them. Some of the COPD community are virtual tigers when it comes to getting what they want and I know some folks who really know the suppliers and manufacturers of some of the small portable concentrators, which it sounds like you might be able to use. If I can help, let me know……

    And Happy Thanksgiving!
