I read your story in Diabetes Forecast sitting in my endocrinologist's office yesterday. I am 37 and I developed Type 2 diabetes in my early 30's due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It makes me severely insulin resistant so I have to take large amounts of insulin to "jumpstart' the insulin I have in my body. It's also hard to lose weight and it can cause infertility problems in women who are trying to get pregnant. Your story has really touched me because though I don't have CF, I know you understand the struggles of being young and having to deal with diabetes as an added complication.
