I love that my docs keep $$ in mind when prescribing things. We will try the cheep stuff first and if it doesn't work, then we move on to more expensive treatments. She did mentions some sort of anti-depressant that could possibly help, I thought it started with a "C". I think it is also used for "restless leg syndrome" (which I know nothing about). Funny about dogs, part of me was hoping Brodie would not like the cream and it would break him from his lotion licking habit. He is addicted I swear! I've been on Nuerontin for years, it works great but causes drowsiness. They give me a low dose of Desiprimine, an anti depressant, with it to enhance the effects. My parents' "starving" fat laborador used to eat jalapeño peppers off the bushes my dad used to grow and she never had any noticeable discomfort. I now take neurotin i think its called, 3x a day. I never tried any of the lotions, but a podiatrist dx'ed the neuropathy and he didn't even suggest it. Anyway good luck with your feet.
